Junior High School

The JHS Department caters for children aged between 11 and 14 years and currently runs a double stream and comprises of Basic 7 to Basic 9. Grades 7 to 9 follow the 3-year Ghana Education Service (G.E.S.) curriculum, which prepares the pupils for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E.) offered by the West African Examination Council (W.A.E.C.).

Students in Grades 7 to 9 study ten (10) different academic subjects taught by very experienced, competent and dedicated teachers. The subject areas are English Language, Mathematics, Mental Mathematics, Social Studies, Integrated Science, Religious and Moral Education, French, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Ghanaian Language (Asante Twi), Basic Design and Technology (B.D.T.) offered under the G.E.S. curriculum.

The Globen JHS, in addition to spacious classrooms, has available the following facilities: a well-stocked Library/Resource Centre,  an I.C.T. lab, Science Lab, a Home Economics Department, all located within a serene environment.

At the Junior High School, we also aim to support students through our I.T. Integration Programme, Mentorship, Club Activities, Guidance and Counselling.

We offer high standards of teaching, a great breadth of opportunities and, above all, a strong commitment to helping each learner reach his or her potential. It is our aim to help every learner discover the combination of strengths and talents that makes each unique, and to discover academic and wider passions that can most helpfully guide their future choices.

Children thrive in Globen J.H.S. because they are engaged in their studies and enriched by their involvement outside the classroom.
